Description
Large lightweight shawl made from superfine Italian wool with finely fringed edges. It is slightly sheer and feels very soft, without any of the ‘scratchiness’ sometimes associated with wool, but all of the longevity.
The print is taken from the original Koi II ink drawing but inverted, appearing like a photographic negative. When worn, the fish aren’t really noticeable but their texture appears as a monochrome pattern. You can see the original artwork and read about the inspiration here.
The colour of this scarf is dark charcoal rather than black. The wool is lightweight and ideal for in-between temperatures, as a wrap or long scarf around the neck. The quality of this Italian wool is much better than the ‘cashmere-modal’ mixes dominating the market (in my opinion they lack texture and shape, and the fabric degrades quickly because modal is not a sturdy fibre).
This is a unisex item and looks great on a man who incorporates it into his style.
